SEARCH ENGINES

As for today's class, Madam Azidatun taught us about search engines. Search engine is something that is commonly used by people in order to find something like information to be exact. Below are few general info about search engine. Check it out~

A search engine is a web-based tool that enables users to find and locate information on the World Wide Web (WWW). For instance, Google, Yahoo!, and etc. There are 4 parts of a search engine:
  • Database
  • Web-Crawlers
  • User Interface
  • Information Retrieval System

Database is a storage where all indexed webpages are stored

Web-Crawlers is an automated program or bot where information is indexed and stored in database.

User Interface is a user-friendly site where users may put inquiry and search results are presented.

Information Retrieval System is a system used to match the users' inquiry to indexed webpages found in database.

All of these are only on surface information and not in-depth. If you are interested to know more about this topic, kindly use the search engine as I mentioned above. Okay?

Hello Everybody! I guess this the end of my entry as I have arrived to my destination. This entry marks the end of my 14 weeks of journey with my respected lecturer, Madam Azidatun as well as my fellow classmates. I couldn’t thank her enough for all the knowledge that she had given to all of us. This subject is definitely giving me so much insight.
